If this happens does that cause a QB to fall to Az?

Just posted a mock that has the Cardinals moving up to #8 to get Rosen so the chatter does seem to be that there will be a QB sliding.

This is no guarantee they won't go QB, just that they really like Darnold.

There's a lot of time left between this and the draft. The Browns could technically go Barkley and make this interesting for the Giants, but the Browns would probably still go QB at 4.

I think probably one of the four guys slides a bit, but likely doesn't get past Buffalo. Whether or not we decide to make a move into that spot is going to be the kicker.

That said, the Bills have all of the ammunition in the world to outmaneuver us.

They have to give up M.Bidwill's first born in a trade to get to #2. Number #8? Now we can talk.

If it is indeed true that the Giants are not planning on drafting a QB at #2:

(1) They are happy with Webb (?) as their FQB
(2) Eli is sipping youth serum from Brady's magic fountain
(3) They have another player rated higher than any QB---my guess it would be RB Barkley.
(4) They don't rate any of the QB as worthy of that high a pick.

#3. The can live with Manning for another year if necessary. That team can't run the ball to save its life. They NEED Barkley more than any QB in this draft.

Barkley would be the King of NY if he plays anywhere near his talent level.

Look at who their HC now is. I don't think Shurmur is a guy who feels compelled to over draft a QB. The Giants can get another year or two out of Manning and who knows what FA opportunities will pop up between now and then. Hell, Shurmur may try to get Bradford back by that time.

DE Bradley Chubb could be an option for NY too. The just traded Jason Pierre Paul because he doesn't fit into Bettcher's 3-4 defense & they're going to need an edge rusher that can take that role. Chubb had 20 sacks over the last 2 years.

The Cardinals made JPP their top target a few years ago only to have JPP re-sign with the Giants on a one year deal. So I don't see how JPP doesn't fit into Bettchers system.

Chubb doesn't fit a 3-4 any better than JPP.

We don’t have “whatever it takes”. I’m not sure why so many are struggling to grasp that.
Sure we do. There’s plenty of draft capital to move up. Matter of whether the team wants to put all of its eggs in the Chosen basket or it wants to see how the draft plays out.

They need to stay put and not be trading crap unless it's to get more picks. These QBs are not worth it. I would really enjoy 10+ picks with 6 in the first four rounds. Screw these 4 chosen ones.

NFL network stated out right did they are going to run a 3-4 and themst JPP is strictly a 4-3 defense end??

It would be fun to watch but I'm not sure it's the right strategy.

If the Cardinals can move up and draft the QB they want, I think they benefit long term.

yep...or Nelson....then maybe Guice or Michel at the top of the second ... they can still win with Eli,...also does not make sense to draft a QB without knowing what they have in Davis Webb who they just invested a third round pick on.

they can get the RB or lineman...and if it doesnt work out they will be in the top five next year.... all in all it aint likely they are gonna compete for the division this year anyway

Sure, but a disastrous amount of capital that would cripple the team for years to come.
