Reports and leaks have pointed to a full redesign for our 50th anniversary season. It's a bit out of character for us to be getting new uniforms just a few years after unveiling our recent set. We usually keep a set for at least a decade before changing it up.

Below are some teasers that have been released by suns.com

The change is because this is the first year Nike is doing the uniforms, so they are doing a complete overhaul for every team.

Not really. Many teams are just switching their current style to the Nike template. The Suns could have done the same and kept the same wordmark and colors, but they are getting a complete redesign.

Which I'm fine with, because I hated last years uniforms.

Very clean and sharp. Not flashy but I really like them.

Not a fan of the size of the number on the white jersey, but I hesitate to think those are official representations.

man, I wish they would just go old school Western Font, like the Pistons did over a decade ago going back to their classics their hideous uni change.

I actually really like those... but I don't think those are the new ones.

I have a bad feeling those hideous things from the video game shots are legit.

Blah on both. Whichever is accurate.

Agree with cheese. The western font was unique and cool. Gave the unis identity!!!

They're not as terrible as they look in the video game, but... they could use a logo and I hate when there are piping and stripes that don't go anywhere, like that stuff under the arm.

I am glad to see purple and orange take center stage. Hated all the grey and black we've had on our previous 2 uniforms.

These are great and an upgrade in my opinion. I like a simpler and cleaner design.

The good:
-Nice cut
-Neck and arm trim
-Purple and Orange in all their glory. No more black or gray
-Improved shorts graphic

The bad:
-The cut and trim of the back sleeve.
-The front numbers are a little large
-No more slanted word mark
-No more sun streak (even though the previous ones weren't executed well)

If I had to rank our unis, these would be second behind the western fonts. Barkley era at #3, most recent #4, then Nash era dead last.

Roadies are nice homes are meh. I feel like professional designers should be better at this.

Right? Either that or Sarver just has no taste whatsoever.. or whoever is making the final call on these jerseys.

Seriously. Nike's design people are displaying a real lack of creativity here. Check out the snoozers the Timberwolves are wearing next year.

The only thing I can say about those is they very specifically remind me of the old gate seats in Sky Harbor airport.

I'm not sure what most of you want in a jersey. It seems like some you want a real busy jersey with screaming sunbursts and flare all over it. Less is more when it comes to a classic design.

I just wish we had something that was more our own, not some generic template. Like the western font, or the old sunburst on the shorts.
