Why take McAfferry when Curtis Samuel is better and faster?

Also, I want Zay Jones wearing Cardinal red. He's going to better than Mike Williams ever thought about being.

Faster, yes. Better, no way. Marshall Falk was raving about McCaffrey the other day -- said that McCaffrey has the best eyes to feet connection he's seen in quite some time. That's what stands out on his tapes -- outstanding patience, vision and burst. McCaffrey has the best hands in the draft.

No he doesnt. Come on now. Mike Williams catches everything.

I understand you like him but let's not make him out to be super human after the combine he's still gonna be the 3rd back off the board

Ok, so who's going to return kicks next year??? Samuel doesn't! Howard doesn't! Williams doesn't!

Just look at what Lockett has been able to do in Seattle - Pro Bowl as a rookie and that was just for returns. He was also becoming a mismatch nightmare in the passing game before the injury.

Not saying I want McCaffrey over some of these others, but Mitch brings up a great point regarding versatility. We need a backup RB who can do everything Johnson does, plus you get the added bonus of a phenomenal returner. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me 1st round or not.

BTW, I want Lamp @ 13

.[/QUOTE] I believe the matchup issues will be opposing D's trying to bring him down in the open field consistently. Matchup problem, for sure.

Convenient. Cards won't touch him. So many CB prospects this year. They need team players first.

My question is has it been a continued thing or was it one test from when he was a freshman cause I'd love to take him he's a stud

That's not a given.

Not saying Mike Williams isn't a good prospect, but he'll have to work hard to have the same advantage in the NFL as he did in college.

McCaffrey will be very productive where ever he goes. Yes, here too.

What are people's thoughts on J Peppers? Out of curiosity, I checked out T Jeffersons combine.. Exact same height and weight. Peppers ran the 40 3 tenths faster. Both considered smart, hard working leaders.... A more explosive TJ that is also an excellent punt returner.... Sounds good to me!!

I have been extremely impressed by the intangibles of Peppers and OJ Howard. Howard chose to return for his senior season to improve on blocking knowing he wasn't going to be featured in the pass game. He also competed at the Senior Bowl when he could've skipped like other top rated players.

Peppers has overcome a very tough childhood. Harbaugh raves about his intelligence and character. He shows up at the combine and competes in two different positional groups when nobody would have questioned if he had only done one. This determination is what I want to see on the Cardinals.

Peppers is a baller. Mayock and Jeremiah dispelled the questions about what position he plays. They believe he's an interchangeable safety and a matchup cover guy. Funny you mentioned Tony Jefferson because I had the same thought today while watching Peppers perform.

With Jefferson likely moving on---if the team does not re-sign D.J. Swearinger, maybe they have other free agents in mind or they like some of the safeties in this draft---or both.

Jack of all trades master of none. His ball skills for being a safety are pretty bad. You could probably name 5-6 guys in the secondary I'd rather have than him. It's a very deep draft for the secondary. 1 int his whole career at MICHIGAN.

He's not a ball hawk and not big and physical enough to crashing down

J Ramsey only had 3 int's in 3 years at FSU, compared to Peppers one in two seasons(one at linebacker). Stats aren't everything. He has shown good hands on offense and in the return game.

They'll have about 5-6 great options there at 13. Don't think they'll risk anyone with a past history. If they get caught once, they've been using it numerous times, mtl.

He's gonna play at safety in the NFL. He's even said he's a safety look at his film and highlights it's very little of being great in coverage. give me Hooker or Budda Baker everyday over Peppers both will be drafted ahead of him at FS.

Solomon Thomas can be a 3-4 lb for us in base. I don't think he will be there, but he can do it.

Jordan Willis helped himself. Film was always good, but questions about his athleticism. He looked good moving.

Same with Hendrickson.

Reddick may truly be a late bloomer. He looked pretty smooth moving around. He may go top 20 vs 1st round.
