Watching NFL Gameday Season Preview. They make all of their "bold" predictions and then a security guy comes in with a briefcase to lock them up for the season. The security guy comes in and Mooch says "it's like Pulp Fiction" and of course everyone is talking over each other. But during all the nonsense, you can clearly hear Michael Irvin say "You look like security too. That's a ripped N***er right there!". At which point they go to commercial break almost immediately. What a moron...

Only a white male would get fired for that.

Disagree. It would likely take down most white females too along with most moderately Asian appearing Americans. But I suspect your main point is that it won't take Michael down and yeah, he's pretty safe.

I haven't watch that show since he joined them! I can't stand listening to him & his cokehead rages of yelling & screaming.

Good riddance

That lady on NFL, Lindsey Something or other, drives me to distraction. She has that loud squeaky voice, sounds like she's screaming all the time.. that's like fingers on a chalkboard to me.

This is 2016 America. No chance a black guy gets in trouble for anything racial. Period.

I'm pretty sure there was no "ER" at the end of that word, which makes it ok I suppose.

No chance he gets canned over that. A black guy said the N word nonchalantly, big deal.

I wouldn't count on it. It's already been well established that the rules don't apply uniformly.

I doubt anything will happen. Not surprised at all.

Not worthy of it's own thread, so I'll just post it here...

Aikman hating on Skip Bayless..

To say I'm disappointed in the hiring of Skip Bayless would be an enormous understatement. Clearly, [Fox Sports president of national networks] Jamie Horowitz and I have a difference of opinion when it comes to building a successful organization. I believe success is achieved by acquiring and developing talented, respected and credible individuals, none of which applies to Skip Bayless.

interesting to see him taking a stand against Fox. I don't blame him.

the rift between aikman and Bayless goes back to the 90s when Bayless publicly questioned aikman's sexual preference.

I listen to the ticket sports radio in dallas daily(online). aikman has a weekly radio show there and has bashed Bayless many times before. aikman is great he pretty much speaks his mind and has even confronted one of the jocks on the station live over a poorly executed joke about him and joe buck.

this station is over 20 years old and Bayless was one of the original disc jockeys that helped launch the station, but left after a year or so. recently some of the original members who are still on the station told a story of when they encountered skip at the super bowl, went up to greet him, and he ignored them as if he did not even know them.

I don't watch anything with MI on it. I can't listen to him talk as everything is over-annunciated and said like he's talking about the meaning of life or something. He also talks like his opinion is the only one that matters.

I've always liked Michael as a broadcaster going back to the early 90s when he had his own show in dallas. he made me laugh a lot. he interacts still with the radio station I listen to and they make fun of him through inpersonation and Michael takes it in stride. with that said I am a dallas fan and am not naïve to see on NFLN him acting a fool and that is too much for a lot of people especially those that don't like him for the things he did on and off the field. being the homer that he is I think he is better suited to do a show in dallas where he will be more effective, but if he were to be fired from NFLN I get the sense that another national network would be offering him a job.

A broadcaster? Now that's a laugh. He might be entertaining for some people but he's not a broadcaster nor is he a journalist in anyway. He's a clown that doesn't seem to realize that despite the fact we have 2 ears, we really only want to listen to 1 mouth at a time.
