The draft starts tomorrow and the D'backs have the number 1 pick. Any ideas on who they should take? There doesn't seem to be a consensus #1 pick this year.
I have been reading they acould be drafting Dansby Swanson shortstop from Vanderbilt or high school shortstop Brendan Rodger.
I keep on hearing/reading about people in the know pointing towards Tyler Stephenson being the guy. My bet is on him or Swanson.
Haven't our Phoenix Suns proved that going for BPA is not preferable to going for need?Hope not on C Stephenson as that would be going for need not BPA. Swanson would be my choice.
: NEED= : a situation in which someone or something must do or have something
: something that a person must have : something that is needed in order to live or succeed or be happy
: a strong feeling that you must have or do something
: AVAILABLE= : easy or possible to get or use
: present or ready for use

By its own definition, the word 'need' is stronger than 'available'.

Go for the Catcher. One who can perform well both behind the plate and alongside it is our greatest need, other than an ace to lead the starting staff, and that is not going to come from this year's draft.I have no idea what your point is here...

We could see Swanson in the bigs in 2017. I like the pick
