I think we're not going to be as good in some situations (pass heavy sets) but better in others (run downs).

It's not like we lost both ILBs with NO viable replacements. Kevin Minter is a viable replacement for one ILB and should be a pretty good player in his own right. I thought he stood out on special teams units last year. But we are really weak at one ILB position now though, and hopefully the improved CB play and S play will make up for it.

High praise for Justin Bethel:

"Justin Bethel might have had the best spring of anybody," Arians said.

Arians introduced a scenario in which Bethel could start if he proved by a Friday of game week that he deserved it.

"Over Patrick (Peterson) and Cro (Cromartie)," Arians said. "They gave up more big plays in the spring than he did, and got his hands on more balls than anybody did. That's a nice problem to have."
