So, there's a game tonight...

I know you guys are in the midst of the coaching mess, but how are you feeling about playing Boise in the LV bowl tonight? I think ASU has some serious talent, but didn't follow them closely enough to know why they struggled as the season went on.

Boise has a great team this year, (Yet another game lost on a missed FG) we've had some issues with injuries in secondary, and many people have said they won't be "Up" for playing ASU. I doubt it, with coach pete and Moore. I think ASU is going to come out ready, and this may be a closer game than some think.

My dad went to ASU, but he's been in Boise for 35 years. He's echoed some of the frustrations with the program/coaching that you guys have.

FTFY If Bray calls his typical vanilla defense, we lose 45-28. If Bray actually blitzes, changes up coverages, and pressures Boise, we win 35-28. This game is all on the defense, because Boise's defense isn't going to stop us from scoring points, it's just a matter of holding Boise under 30 points for us to have a chance to win. With Bray knowing this is his last game as a coach for any school, I seriously hope he makes Moore feel uncomfortable, because he typically makes it as easy as possible for the offense by calling cover 2 99.9% of the time.

Tonight was a fitting sendoff for a coach who should have retired years ago but suckered a poor GM into signing him based on aniceint history. Between this and the suspensions prior to the flight, we know all we ever needed to know about this coaching staff and the dicipline they expect from their players..

Adios Erickson, you wont be missed in AZ by this fan.

Sadly, I watched this whole game. Amazingly, this was a winnable game by ASU, especially when the momentum started to swing in the second half. However, the following killed us:

1. 14 point swing on the pick 6 thrown by Brock on the 1 yard line while Erickson was trying to call time out. When your QB is 6 8, why not a quarterback sneak when you are at the 1 yard line?

2. 21 points by Boise that were scored by their defense and special teams.

3. ASU totally failed to take advantage Boise's turnovers.

4. Same old story, killed ourselves with penalties and personal fouls;

5. Outcoached again. On the field, and in the prep.

6. Boise's Dline kicked arse on our Oline. Totally took away the run;

7. No pressure at all on Boise's QB

8. Not having Miles, stayed home to deal with a "personal" situation, didn't help.

C'mon Mao, while they're embarrassingly undisciplined, and don't play as a team, there is no doubt that there is talent on this team, especially at the skill positions.

Depth is obviously a contributor as well. Losing 3 of your top 4 defensive players for most of the year and contributing players on offense was killer.

It was November 19th, and we won - 31-27!

Here's hoping both teams improve, play meaningful games against each other, and both make it to quality bowl games going forward.
