I still think Porter is all but a done deal. Too much smoke for there not to be a fire there
You would think we would have heard about him at least coming in for a visit by now?
I was hoping for him to be an option for us but with the amount of passrushers in this draft in the first two rounds and the fact that Dumerville is still there to get if need be, I'm not to worried just yet about us getting a passrusher. I'm not really on the Joey Porter bandwagon though. If we sign him I think that he will just be a stopgap player for a year or two while we bring along a draft pick.
Dummerville isn't an option. The Broncos will match any offer thrown at the guy
I wanted him too but we never had a shot. Not because of the payday but because he only wanted to play for a 4-3 team.
I thought he did well in 3-4 but evidently it wasn't for him.

Maybe. Depends on how much money, plus they would get a first and a third for compensation if I remember correctly. You are most likely correct but there is only so much money Denver will part with before they say ok you can have him. If we had offered both Rolle and Dansby 10million more than the other teams we would still have both of them. Money talks and in the end that is what will by a players loyalty.
I hope you are on to something. That would be a huge move in putting this team back together.I still think Porter is all but a done deal. Too much smoke for there not to be a fire there
Maybe this is why we didn't pursue him.Still, whether Kampman is the answer remains to be seen. He was a bust in Green Bay's 3-4 attack last year, and a torn ACL could limit him in Year One.
just glad he isnt a seahawk....
Kampman was miscast in the 3-4. He was never, ever an option for the Cards
