I'm surprised and happy about this signing. He may not turn out to be anything, but the UFA options are limited this summer, and it's definitely a position of need. Currently, the only potentially worthwhile 3-4 OLBs who are set to hit the open market are Vrabel, Banta-Cain and Chike. Banta-Cain wants to re-sign with the Pats, Vrabel is way past his prime and I think most of us agree that Chike has run his course, unless he wants to take a substantial pay cut. This Baggs guy likely won't be worse than the remaining options.

Not a good year to have Warner retire, Berry retire, Dansby poised to leave, Brian Robinson ready to turn 36, Chike 34 and Gandy appear to be done.

Agree with Canuck......he's not as good as Wake was, but he was still a pretty solid, if spectacular player.

I think what this signing shows, more than anything is the Cardinals are not content to simply maintain status quo; as they would have in the pre stadium/Michael B era; but rather are making moves in an attempt to improve the club.

For that reason alone, I like it!

The Cardinals are likely never going to be a team that make the big splash in the FA pool...

The pre stadium/Michael B era Cardinals would have traded up into the second round in 2006 to draft this guy.

just like they will with this guy!!! He doesnt appear to have "NFL speed" to play LB.

A declarative statement on someone you've never seen play!

You cannot survive in the CFL as a LB without sideline to sideline speed.

PS: I've seen him play, and he will be a positive surprise.

I've seen him too. Just because I live in the US doesnt mean we dont get CFL games. I respect your opinion but he never stuck out to me to be a NFL ready. Hope your right CC cause this team drastically needs someone off the edge.
