I actually agree with you, they can't get open downfield on us, we'll make adjustments to stop Gore and they will be unable to move the ball.

All I can say is I hope we got all the turnovers out of our system because we can't beat the Lions or the Rams or anyone if we turn the ball over like that. I hope the team takes this as a serious reality check. We are still in good shape to win the division, but for now its still open. We have left the 49ers still on life support but with a stronger pulse than they had a week ago. And even if we do get it done, if we show up fat happy and dumb like we did tonight, we are going to look equally stupid in the playoffs. This team better pull it back together.

That's how I saw it. i didn't see it like the Minny or NE game last year when it looked like we didn't even want to be on the field. In fact, i thought we were too amped in the first quarter. The mistakes we made were ones by guys being too excited, not too flat.

Exactly... players talked about it all week... they were just too nerved... the three successive defensive offside to start the game was a clear example of that.
