I'd be worried too if this was 2 YEARS AGO after Alex busted his shoulder. But this years Alex Smith is 5th in TDs per game only behind Brees, Favre, Rodgers, and Peyton Manning.

That is a great stat there buddy boy. Did you know that Dan Marino threw the second most TD passes ever and guess what, he won ZERO Super Bowls. Glad that Alex Smith is striving to throw a lot of TD's instead of winning Super Bowls.

By the way, congratulations on getting off of being grounded and getting back you interview privileges back before the Monday night game.

Hey blowshard, you should check out some outdoor shops I bet you could find fishing tackle on sale right now since we are entering winter. Most peoples vacations don't start January 4th, but then again, you are a 49ers fan. Enjoy the offseason.

I'm pretty sure we're waiting on a sack, not an INT, but I'm not positive.

No need to decide between the cracked crab and the lobster, we can have both. I want both and its AW time for both! :)

Warner has 23 TDs in 11 games, while Smith has 13 TDs in 7 games. I think that makes Warner #5 on that list.

And if we're REALLY concerned about TD/game, Shaub and Brady are both .02 TD/game behind Smith.

I fully believe the 49ers will beat down the Cardinals by at least 7 points come MNF. We have lost 6 games this season by less than a TD, playing alot of tough teams.
What you need to realize is the majority of games played in the NFL are decided by 7 points or less. So basically your statement is what losers say to attempt to indicate their team is being competitive...
I cannot wait for the whole world to see who the top dog of the NFC West really is.
And when the Cardinals win this Monday night we can count on you being back here to announce who that top dog is, right?

I still don't think that your team is better than ours. Patrick Willis will bring the hurt to Kurt Warner and Alex Smith will tear up your suspect secondary. Frank Gore will get his as always. Vernon Davis will show Adrian Wilson who the real boss is.

Let's do this!
This is the height of ignorance...

There's NOBODY on your team that can stop Vernon Davis.

There's several people on the Cardinals that can stop Vernon Davis, the problem is that we'll probably have Adrian Wilson on him which means another 2TD game for Davis.

Now that we've covered just about every cliche in the book on this thread (which is close to belonging on the Smack Shack board instead of here) - I think we can throw Game #1 out the window - for at least a few reasons:

1. The Niners are different - with Alex Smith operating out of an Urban Myer spread.

2. The Cardinals are different - having regained their offensive mojo and playing with more discipline and intensity. A potential upside for us is a rejuvinated running game.

3. Stakes are different - Both teams were going for the gold in Game One. Cards are closer to "tasting it" and Niners will scratch & claw to hang onto a faint hope.

How will this play out? Who the bleep knows? You've got your injuries. There are the zebras. The oblong ball bounces funny. Sometimes game plans end up having unintended consequences.

What I do feel pretty confident of is that it will be a hard fought game - a good one for MNF.

Key Cardinal objectives - (1) Protect Warner. (2) Contain Gore. (3) Contain Davis and (4) Don't overrun A Smith when we bring it. And (5) Hand Crabtree over to DRC and let the best dude win.

Man, this forum hasn't change at all, still taking it to the heart as usual. It's SMACK WEEK, you are supposed to talk wreckless smack. I will back up my team 110% even if we were 1-11 right now, espcially against a hated division rival.

With that said, I am not talking wreckless right now. I fully believe the 49ers will beat down the Cardinals by at least 7 points come MNF. We have lost 6 games this season by less than a TD, playing alot of tough teams. I repeat, nobody will stop Vernon Davis, nobody. He will score 2 TDs on your team at least, and is on pace to break Gate's TD record. Adrian Wilson is a one dimensional safety and is a liability is coverage. I have no worries about that guy because we aren't going to run the ball as much.

49ers - 24
Cards - 13

I cannot wait for the whole world to see who the top dog of the NFC West really is.

Was I talking wrecklessly now? I missed the scores by only 3 points (besides the botched PAT).
