USA Today has a little piece about the difference in cooperation levels between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning after their wins on MNF in consecutive weeks. To me, it says a lot about the difference in the two organizations.

Bill Belichick, while very successful, is tight-lipped in the best of times and a total jerk after defeats. OTOH, the Colts seem like a classy organization and Manning is a great spokesman for them IMO. All the years that Tony Dungy was there, he conducted himself with total class. (I was not unhappy to see the Pats lose last Sunday.)

Whether you like the way the pats are run or not they are where they are for a reason. I can't fault them for anything.

Fault them when they don't make the playoffs this year, again. I am calling it right now.

I cant even fault hem for that. They were 11-5 last year and didnt make it with their back up QB who hadn't thrown a pass in a live game since high school. Thats pretty damned impressive. Not much more than you could ask for than to go 11-5

Add to that their impressive 16-0 season and 3 SB's in the last 10 years and I think many of us would long for that type of success and way of running an organization.

And that reason is -- cheating.

Funny how as time goes on, and the tapes Belicheck has get older and less useful, they suddenly aren't superstars. Last year it was all due to missing Brady -- but now you have to wonder. How good would a QB be if the offensive coordinator knew ahead of time what the opposing defense was calling.

I know, I know -- not everyone believes this. Maybe it's because I don't like the Pats.

Way overblown. Yes its because you and Ian hate the pats. What they did was common practice in the NFL. They just got caught doing it a year after the NFL put the clamps down. So not an excuse really when everyone was doing it.

Last I checked they did manage a 16-0 season and a SB appearance after the accusations?

I knew it! The Cards were bad all those years at SDS because the Bidwill's had to skimp on the spy department budget.

:D
