Azubuike, Pietrus, Kurt, Diop, Elson, Ely, next to our own Gira would be on my wish list of realistic options.

I would think that Gira and Skinner would be the obvious targets because they can play and are affordable. We should make apecial list of guys who MIGHT fall to the below $2 million range because even that is in the LT area.

I would kill to get Childress here. The chances are real bad. He is restricted and Hawks have tons of moneys.

Melvin Ely, LOL. He's the fantasy that just refuses to die. He's now 30 years old and has bonuced around four different teams, yet so many people still see him as this young stud with untapped potential.

I think what you were trying to say is list guys who could be had for cheap who aren't virtually useless and can actually play. I'd really like to see them resign Giricek and Skinner, but I would be very upset if they resign Marks, Piatkowski, or anyone else who is just as bad as they are.

Speaking of which, do you think we can afford Chris Duhon, Beno Udrih, or Carlos Arroyo?

From how he played on the NO team, he's worth the LT, for which not much untapped potential is needed.;)

I'd sign Skinner for the min. Yet, his role on the team is not well defined now. He is not a good low post defender, KT or even Diop or maybe Ely are better. His strength of helping D is less in need with Shaq here. He is a disruptive force on offense!

Duhon can't shoot. Udrih and Arroyo might be too expensive for us.

Skinner won't be back. He was a detriment to the team when he was on the court.

I think Beno would be a great pickup for the suns or any team really. he can be a top notch back up. but I think the kings want to keep him which might explain why the dealt bibby. Diop hopefully comes back to big D

Skinner had one of the best salary to production ratios in the league, Chris, how would Sarver resist re-signing him?

If Skinner doesnt resign, get Diop, Shot blocking big next to Stoudemire when O'Neal rests, athletic still.

Then for a swing man, get Pietrus... Childress isnt realistic.

For the backup point, I still think trade Barbosa, if not. Then its very limiting.

Giricek needs to be resigned also, more opportunities as a shooter, Suns need it.

I would really like to resign Gordan Giricek and Kurt Thomas for the veterans minimum (I'm not sure if Kurt Thomas would even want to come back, but if he did, I would resign him immediately). Unfortunately, I don't think we can afford Mickael Pietrus, but I would certainly love to have him here.

KT will sign with the Spurs again.

I want Carlos Arroyo or Beno Udrih to back up Nash. Also I'd like to keep Giricek and Skinner for the minimum. Too bad the Suns tossed KT aside.

I believe Kings would resign Beno to at least 4 mil per, out of our reach. However, we might persuade them with Diaw/LB for Artest/Salmon trade?

I too believe Beno will stay with the Kings. I would like for the Suns to finally fix the PG problem before anything else. I'm not high on Artest but I like Salmons but he is more of a combo guard so I'm not sure. The Suns are now where they really have to address the PG position for both now and the future. I don't think there will be a quality PG at #15 in the draft so that's why I'm looking at a UFA player like Arroyo. I want the Suns to draft the BPA at #15. There will likely be a athletic 3-5 position player with some height in that slot.

Maybe the Suns can sign Arroyo with the savings they receive for moving D'Antoni's salary. I know Arroyo would cost double whatever the Suns signed him because of the LT, however, I'm tired of the Suns always cutting costs. He could be chalked up to the moving D'Antoni savings plan.

last year half the board was wanting to trade 2 or 3 players for Matt Barnes, what happened to that FOTM?
