We'd be in the top 10 in the NFL in EACH department. 1 more pick and 1 more sack would've put us in a tie for 6th in the NFL in INT's and a tie for 9th in sacks. 2 more picks and 5 more sacks would've put us in the top 5 in each department in the NFL. Not bad with the injuries we sustained on D....Thoughts?

If it does lead to less points then I shudder to think how many points we would have allowed if we were even just average in those 2 categories.

Sometimes they do. I think in this case, it's Arizona's 28th-ranked passing defense that's more meaningful than the sack list.

Because rest of the time (which is quie a bit) when we are not intercepting or sacking, we are giving huge chunks of yards usually to 3rd string RB's and backup or horrible QB's.

I'm not sure I agree with this. All stats matter when evaluated together in the right context... it is just taking a couple out of context that don't matter or are misleading.

Interesting thought sd04. Did you notice where the Giants had something like 53 sacks this year? That's almost 4.5 sacks per game. Now that's an amazing stat. I hope the Cards exceed that number in 2008.
