Pago needs to change that P to a B in order to fit in.

Strengths:
Has fantastic size with long arms...A solid athlete...Is quick and agile with nimble feet...Has a great motor...Smart and aware...Plays with a nasty demeanor...More mobile with better range than you'd think...Still has a lot of upside and potential.

Weaknesses:
Did not face top competition and will be making a big leap...Needs to get stronger and be more physical...May be too tall and plays with poor leverage...Needs a lot of technique work...He's real raw and might still be years away from contributing.

Notes:
Began his career at UCLA before transferring...Definitely has some physical tools to work with...Come from a smaller program but UC-Davis has produced from pro prospects in recently including offensive lineman Brad Lekkerkerker...Top sleeper.

There's our blocking TE!

I've often wondered with the way the Cards oline plays why they didn't just convert an OL to TE give him his new number and run him out there next to the LT?

Maybe it would make to much sense?

LSU players sign as NFL free agents
April 30, 2007
Article's Tools:

The Associated Press

BATON ROUGE — Seven LSU players who were not taken in the seven-round NFL draft last weekend will be off to pro rookie camps nonetheless, including one with the New Orleans Saints, after agreeing to free-agent contracts.

Offensive tackle Peter Dyakowski will be making the 80-mile trip southeast along the Mississippi River to New Orleans when the Saints open their camp for first-year players on May 12.

Meanwhile, two former Tigers will join a couple of the Saints’ rivals in the NFC South Division.

Safety Jessie Daniels has agreed to terms with the Carolina Panthers, while running back Justin Vincent is headed to the Atlanta Falcons.

The Washington Redskins picked up defensive back Daniel Francis, the Arizona Cardinals signed offensive lineman Brian Johnson and the St. Louis Rams reached a deal with defensive lineman Ryan Willis.

Punter and place kicker Chris Jackson, who also plays on LSU’s baseball team, has signed on with the Buffalo Bills.

The seven undrafted free agents bring to 12 the number of LSU players headed to NFL teams

Wakefield played OT and OG after switching from DL.

Yeah I knew that. I am a Cards fan.

Let me put it this way, how about giving a GOOD or at least decent OL man a TE number, instead of giving a converted DL to OL a TE number?

Buckeye Bits: Joins Kirk Barton and Doug Datish as the anchors of this year's offensive line ... played an iron-man like 340 minutes last year as the starter at right guard ... can also play the left side and could step in at tackle should the need arise ... made tremendous strides in 2005, especially during the second half of the season ... continued to excel in the spring and has improved in "all aspects of his game" in the view of offensive line coach Jim Bollman ... coaches like his competitiveness and fiery spirit ... is a hard worker and mentally tough football player ... plays quick and has quick hands ... has played in 24 games with 15 starts, 13 of which were Ohio State victories ... his father, Walter Downing was an All-American at Michigan.
2005 (Junior): Started all 12 games and played at least 30 minutes in each of those games with a high of 35 minutes at Penn State ... played the best football of his career the second half of the season when OSU put together a seven-game winning streak and was at its best offensively.
2004 (Sophomore): Appeared in 11 of the Buckeyes' 12 games (he did not play against Wisconsin) ... played 12 minutes at tackle in the season opener against Cincinnati in his first extended action of any kind ... first career start was at Michigan State at left guard ... also started the Michigan and Oklahoma State games ... all three of his starts were Ohio State wins ... played a career-high 34 minutes in the win over Michigan ... awarded his first varsity letter.
2003 (Freshman): Only appearance of the year came against Washington in the season opener when he logged three minutes of playing time.
2002 (Redshirt): Part of what many considered to be the top freshman class in the country.
High School: A three-year starter at tackle, claiming All-Ohio honors as a senior ... also started at defensive end for three years ... GlenOak made it to the state playoffs and finished with an 8-3 record his junior year (the school's first playoff appearance in 15 years) ... played baseball as a sophomore and junior (he played third), but did not play as a senior.
Personal: Is the son of Walter and Susan Downing ... after achieving All-America honors at Michigan, his father later played for the San Francisco 49ers and was a member of the team that defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl XVI ... has an older sister, Kristen and a younger sister, Lauren ... enjoys traveling and lists Tokyo as the place he would most like to visit ... calls wrapping up a share of the Big Ten title at Michigan last year his biggest thrill as a Buckeye ... goals this year are to win all-conference honors and help the team capture the outright Big Ten and the national championships ... will graduate at the end of Winter Quarter.
