Apr. 16—BIGFORK — Nico Young threw six-plus innings and allowed two runs, as Columbia Falls defeated Bigfork 8-2 in high school baseball Tuesday.
Reggie Sapa relieved Young during the seventh and finished the game for the Wildcats, who continued their perfect start on the season moving to 5-0.
At the plate Jace Hill delivered a big three-run triple in the seventh inning to extend the Columbia Falls lead to 8-0.
Ryder Hamilton drove in the first run of the game for Bigfork (4-3) on a double in the bottom of the seventh. He then scored on a passed ball later in the inning.
Whitefish 15, Noxon-Thompson Falls 0
WHITEFISH — Ryan Conklin went 2-for-4 with three RBIs as Whitefish cruised past Noxon-Thompson Falls.
Conklin opened the scoring for Whitefish (5-1) in the second inning with a two-run single to left field that brought home C Godsey and R Boyer.
Two batters later, Tait Orme doubled to bring Conklin and Luke Dalen home and extend the Bulldogs lead to 5-0.
Christian Schwaderer started on the mound for Whitefish, going three innings and allowing just one hit. He fanned five.
Noxon-Thompson Falls drops to 0-5 with the loss. The game ended after four innings due to the run rule.

BROWNING — Hunter Luedtke hit a three-run single in game one, while Gabe Lozeau and Caiden Pierre both doubled in game two as Ronan swept a doubleheader with Browning.
Luedtke's single came during a 12-run first inning for the Chiefs (4-3), who capitalized with 16 runs in the game on just five hits.
In game two, Lozeau's third inning double brought in Gavin Sinclair to extend the Ronan lead to 17-0.
David Burdeau drove in the runs for Browning with a third inning single.
Both games ended after three innings due to the run rule.
