I wonder if it is taxed like they tax the bonuses I get at work.

Government ends up taking almost half of it.

That's why so many athletes wanna play in Florida - its like a 10% raise since no state income tax.

I worked in Oregon for a bit...its a whacko state (you are not even allowed to pump your own gas) but there is no state sales tax. And across the state line, I believe Wash st. has no state income tax either...so a lot of folks who live in Vancouver WA, work in Portland to take advantage of the situation.

No state income tax in Texas too.
