That contract is why JD Martinez is not in a Diamondback uniform. I would have him play single A ball all year.

The difference is Byrnes had a couple of good years before he got that extension to sort of justify it and went to crap right after.

Remember that TLR/Stewart signed him thinking he could play 3B. Probably should’ve known then how bad management was going to be.
