The YAIAA's baseball coaches released their picks for the league's 2026 all-star list on Thursday afternoon, June 11. All three divisions released first team all-stars as well as honorable mentions and awards for Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year and Coach of the Year.
In Division I, South Western sophomore Jaden Freeze was named Player of the Year, while Dallastown junior Carson Meyer brought home Pitcher of the Year. Freeze, working as both an outfielder and pitcher, stole 37 bases and accumulated 34 hits, two doubles, four triples, four home runs, 28 runs scored and 19 walks. He also went 3-2 through 26 innings pitched, striking out 31 and posting a 1.08 ERA. Meyer, through 52 and two-third innings for the Wildcats, posted a 6-3 record with a 1.19 ERA, 51 strikeouts and 19 walks.
Northeastern coach Don Kauffman was named the Division I Coach of the Year. With a young roster, Kauffman led the Bobcats to a 7-5 record in Division I and a 10-10 record overall.
Kennard-Dale swept the Division II awards, with Jake Harris and Gavin Holmes earning Player and Pitcher of the Year respectively and Bobby Holmes earning Coach of the Year. Harris went 4-1 for the Rams on the mound, posting a 2.75 ERA with 42 strikeouts through 40 innings, while also batting .500 with 31 hits, four triples, two home runs, 19 RBIs and 20 runs. Holmes, meanwhile, was 6-1 with one save through 39 innings, striking out 51 and earning a 2.02 ERA. Under Holmes, the Rams posted a 17-4 record overall and split the Division II crown with New Oxford.
For Division III, Biglerville's Aidan Hoffman and Bermudian Springs' Branson Diller were named as the respective Player and Pitcher of the Year. Hoffman, a senior center fielder and pitcher, batted .478 with a .731 slugging percentage, totaling 32 hits, seven doubles, two triples, two home runs, 18 RBIs, 27 runs and 15 stolen bases. Diller posted a .541 ERA for the Eagles ahead of their PIAA 3A championship, striking out 100 batters and earning a 10-1 record through 64 and two-third innings.
Fairfield's Steve Bell also brought home the Coach of the Year award. Under Bell, the Knights made their first District 3 championship appearance in program history and booked a spot in the PIAA Class 1A tournament.
