WWE Raw Results, Winners And Highlights
JD McDonagh Def. Finn Balor
- WWE Raw opened with a Seth Rollins entrance, but Bron Breakker jumped him from behind before he got to the ring. Breakker beat Seth Rollins Down, punctuated by another spear, and WWE Raw began—not with a promo segment—but with a grudge match between Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.
- Balor vs. McDonagh featured some highly questionable officiating from Jessika Carr. Dirty Dom was on the outside, and was later joined by the Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.) Mysterio interfered, and Jessika Carr threw him out but allowed the Judgment Day to stay.
- Naturally, the Judgment Day interfered, and Perez—who was brought into the Judgment Day by Finn—hit her mentor with a bell hammer. JD picked up the win, and in the process, made Becky Lynch look smart for being suspicious of Carr all these months.
Match Grade: B
Ethan Page And Rusev Def. Je’Von Evans And Penta
- Only Penta and Ethan Page’s entrances were featured on television. Fans chanted “let’s go Penta” as Rusev mauled the Intercontinental champion early on.
- Penta rallied and made the hottest of hot tags to Je’Von Evans, who went flying all over the arena, including a scary dive on Rusev who barely caught him. Evans later hit a perfect suicide dive on Rusev and teased a dive onto the announce table before Ethan Page cut him off.
- Page hit the Twisted Grin on Penta and scored a pinfall for the win. Rusev, who threatened Ethan last week on Raw if he didn’t come through, was overjoyed at Page’s big win.
Match Grade: B
Sol Ruca Signs With WWE Raw; Becky Lynch Interrupts
- Adam Pearce put the pressure on Sol Ruca, calling her a surefire, can’t-miss blue-chip future superstar. WWE aired a video package on the highly touted prospect before Pearce introduced her to a big pop.
- Becky Lynch interrupted Sol Ruca’s moment and went on a fantastic rant where she bragged about beating “Iyo Jannetty.” Becky’s “it’s not just me saying it…” line got a ton of heat. Sol called Becky a bitch to a huge pop before signing the contract.
- Sol Ruca said if Becky ever interrupts her again, she’ll snatch her soul. Lynch accidentally struck Adam Pearce leading to a Sol Snatcher, though Ruca slipped before hitting the move.
Joe Hendry Def. Austin Theory
- Joe Hendry opened with an encore of his “Fire Logan Paul” single, and Logan Paul interrupted as furious as ever. Logan wanted this match, but Paul Heyman refused and instead fed Austin Theory to the wolves.
- Paul had the most heat of this match despite not being in it as fans chanted “Logan sucks!” As Hendry closed in on the win, Paul interrupted and forced the DQ. The Street Profits made the save, but Bron Breakker hit the ring and launched Montez Ford out of the ring.
- Breakker prepared for the spear, but Seth Rollins interrupted and the two brawled in the ring. Rollins fought off the Vision before turning his attention back to Breakker. Tez returned to the ring and hit a tope onto the Vision. A distracted Rollins paid for it with another spear from Breakker.
Match Grade: C+
Oba Femi Def. Otis In Open Challenge
- Akira Tozawa teased answering Oba Femi’s challenge, but in the spirit of the five-minute Whiteboy Challenge, Otis answered the call. The two jockeyed for position before Oba Femi hit an amazing flying back elbow.
- Femi shot put Otis like he was a child, then hit a Fall from Grace from the top rope for the win. An incredible showcase, and WWE continues to bat 1,000 with Oba Femi through a “less-with-more” approach.
Match Grade: A+
Los Grandes Americanos Vs. El Hermanos Americanos
- This was branded as a WWE Trios match. Los Hermanos Americanos were the OG El Grande Americano and the Creed Brothers in masks. OG Americano hit an amazing double German suplex on Rayo and Bravo. Julius (Julio) followed up with a moonsault.
- OG El Grande Americano hit a headbutt on El Bravo for the win. It’s looking more like OG El Grande Americano will lose his mask in AAA at the end of the month.
Match Grade: B+
- Roman Reigns told Jacob Fatu he’d be damned if there wasn’t respect to be had in this business from him. Reigns said there is a code among his family. Reigns told Jacob that he disrespected him with the Tongan Death Grip. “You don’t do that to family.”
- Fatu said he’d do anything for his household if it means he has to run through his own blood. Roman Reigns cut him off and signed the contract to a big pop. Reigns said he’s been grinding from multiple households. Reigns isn’t just worried about his family, he’s worried about the entire Anoa’i Bloodline.
- Fatu cut off Reigns with a sudden Tongan Death Grip. Fatu refused to let go, but Reigns fought back with 10-count punches. Fatu battled back with another Tongan Death Grip and awkwardly put Roman through the table as fans chanted “Fatu!”
