Robert Woods is coming home.
The former Los Angeles Rams star receiver signed a one-day contract to retire with the team following a 12-year NFL career. Woods, 33, played five years with the Rams from 2017 to 2021, where he caught 367 passes for 4,626 yards and 23 touchdowns in 68 games.
Woods, who is from Gardena, California, near Los Angeles, began his career with the Buffalo Bills after being drafted No. 41 overall out of USC. He played four years in Buffalo before signing with the Rams in 2017.
The Rams traded Woods to the Tennessee Titans for a 2023 sixth-round pick after the 2021 season. He then played two years with the Houston Texans. Woods signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025 but was released before the season and didn't play in the regular season.
Woods finishes his NFL career with 683 receptions for 8,233 yards and 38 touchdowns. His receiving yards with the Rams rank 10th in franchise history, and his receptions rank ninth.
