Cornerbacks & DTs rise and RBs fall in this latest Mock. Big Ben jumps to#4 and Soapaga falls out of the 2nd round. I doubt Kevin Jones falls out of the 2nd round and if he does I doubt Green will pass on him. Jones clearly belongs in a higher draftbacket than the player around #33 in this mock. Manning, Jones, Soapaga with the first 3 picks?

1 (1) Chargers Larry Fitzgerald* WR Pitt
2 (2) Raiders Robert Gallery T Iowa
3 (3) Cardinals Eli Manning QB Ole Miss
Dennis Green will be tempted to trade up to get Fitzgerald; if not, it's Manning all the way. Green won't pass on Manning despite his public support of Josh McCown. The Cardinals need a marquee player to take them into a new stadium. Green has a track record of getting young passers to perform well early (see Daunte Culpepper). Manning and young wide outs Anquan Boldin and Bryant Johnson are the perfect personnel to implement the West Coast offense.
4 (4) Giants Ben Roethlisberger* QB Miami (O.)
5 (5) Redskins Tommie Harris* DT Oklahoma
6 (6) Lions Kellen Winslow Jr.* TE Miami (FL)
7 (7) Browns DeAngelo Hall* CB Va. Tech
8 (8) Falcons Mike Williams* WR USC
9 (9) Jaguars Kenechi Udeze* DE USC
10 (10) Texans Vince Wilfork* DT Miami (FL)
11 (11) Steelers Dunta Robinson CB S. Carolina
12 (12) Jets D.J. Williams OLB Miami (FL)
13 (13) Bills Roy Williams WR Texas
14 (14) Bears Randy Starks* DT Maryland
15 (15) Buccaneers Will Smith DE Ohio St.
16 (16) 49ers Reggie Williams* WR Wash.
17 (17) Bengals Sean Taylor* S Miami (FL)
18 (18) Saints Chris Gamble* CB Ohio St.
19 (19) Vikings Vernon Carey G Miami (FL)
20 (20) Dolphins Shawn Andrews* T Arkansas
21 (21) Patriots Steven Jackson* RB Oregon St.
22 (22) Cowboys Karlos Dansby OLB Auburn
23 (23) Seahawks Jonathan Vilma ILB Miami (FL)
24 (24) Broncos Donnell Washington* DT Clemson
25 (25) Packers Philip Rivers QB NC State
26 (26) Rams Ben Troupe TE Florida
27 (27) Titans Marcus Tubbs DT Texas
28 (28) Eagles Will Poole CB USC
29 (29) Colts Derrick Strait CB Oklahoma
30 (30) Chiefs Lee Evans WR Wis.
31 (31) Panthers Michael Clayton* WR LSU
32 (32) Patriots Justin Smiley* G Alabama
1 (33) Cardinals Jacob Rogers T USC
Considering age (28) is creeping up on Anthony Clement, Rogers meets one of the Cardinals' top needs. His stock is rising; he has the all-around tools to develop into a solid starting left tackle.
2 (34) Giants Max Starks T Florida
3 (35) Chargers J.P. Losman QB Tulane
4 (36) Lions Chris Perry RB Michigan
5 (37) Falcons Antwan Odom* DE Alabama
6 (38) Browns Nat Dorsey* T Georgia Tech
7 (39) Jaguars Ricardo Colclough CB Tusculum
8 (40) Texans Ben Watson TE Georgia
9 (41) Broncos Kevin Jones* RB Va. Tech
10 (42) Titans Darnell Dockett DT Florida St.
11 (43) Bills Darrion Scott DE Ohio St.
12 (44) Steelers Chris Snee* G Boston Coll.
13 (45) Raiders Jake Grove C Va. Tech
14 (46) 49ers Michael Jenkins WR Ohio St.
15 (47) Bears Michael Boulware OLB Florida St.
16 (48) Saints Devery Henderson WR LSU
17 (49) Bengals Matt Ware* CB UCLA
18 (50) Vikings Daryl Smith ILB Georgia Tech
19 (51) Ravens Rashaun Woods WR Oklahoma St.
20 (52) Cowboys Greg Jones RB Florida St.
21 (53) Seahawks Dwan Edwards DT Oregon St.
22 (54) Broncos Ben Hartsock TE Ohio St.
23 (55) Packers Rodney Leisle DT UCLA
24 (56) Patriots Teddy Lehman OLB Oklahoma
25 (57) Titans Travelle Wharton T S. Carolina
26 (58) Eagles Igor Olshansky* DT Oregon
27 (59) Colts Chad Lavalais DT LSU
28 (60) Saints Bob Sanders S Iowa
29 (61) Chiefs Isaac Hilton DE Hampton
30 (62) Panthers Ahmad Carroll* CB Arkansas
31 (63) Patriots Stuart Schweigert S Purdue

No he doesn't

Well, at least not if I am GM of the Cards. If Jones makes it through round 1, I grab him.

Know we need some defense, but I think he'd be a great grab at #33. Doubt he'll really fall that far though.

IMO - I think that, out of our first 3 picks, we go D on 2 of them and O on 1. Our defense needs alot of help. We need a quality starting CB and DT. If we take Manning @#3 then CB or DT will go at #33 IMO. But, hey, it's still too early to tell.

I don't think Jones last the 32nd pick, he will be pick up by the Pats. But if he is there Green needs to take him. The kid had a bad workout but he has talent.

If for some reason Ohio St. Wr Michael Jenkins comes our way in the 2nd round, the Cards should grab him. This kid is big, plays physical, and like to go up and get the jump ball. The Niners will probably take him but I think the Ravens also wants him because of his physical play and his vertical leap for the jump ball.

Good lord. If the draft came out like that (or, maybe more to RedStorm's liking, S. Taylor, K. Jones, Sopoaga), I'd be elated come Saturday night.
