Go Cardinals! Yay!!!
Anyone else read this? This has to be one of the better *light* books I've read in the last year.
It takes place in the not-too-distant future and is a first-hand account of survivors of the zombie apocalypse. It's presented as a government researcher who travels the globe and interviews people who played a role in humanity's eventual triumph over the zombie plague. Interviewees include a Chines nuclear sub captain and military leaders from Russia and India, as well as a soldier in the American military who survived the initial defeats and eventual victory.
With all of the bad zombie movies out there, I'm surprised that no one has had the imagination to do something like this yet. It's a great read and offers a lot of amusing anecdotes (the author is Max Brooks, son of Mel Brooks) and some chilling entries that rival the best zombie films.
Highly recommended if you're a fan of horror, sci-fi, or war books.
