The 2026 World Cup's final four countries have all won the biggest prize in soccer before and the semifinals matchups don't disappoint.
France and Spain will face off at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday, July 14, while England plays Argentina in Atlanta a day later, with the winners advancing to the final scheduled for Sunday, July 19.
France has won the tournament twice (1998 and 2018), with Kylian Mbappe leading the team to victory in the latter, the beginning of a historic World Cup career for one of the game's modern icons. Les Bleus will have to contain Lamine Yamal and Spain's attack but it won't be easy against a defensive unit that has given up just one goal in six matches.
Lionel Messi and defending champion Argentina's clash with England is a rematch of the famous 1986 World Cup "Hand of God" game. Argentina has won the World Cup three times, while England's only championship came in 1966 on home soil.
Here's USA TODAY Sports' picks for the 2026 World Cup semifinals.
