Engelbert confirmed the extended negotiations avoided any impacts to the 2026 schedule.

Training camp is set to open on April 19, followed by preseason games beginning April 25 and the start of the regular season on May 8.

WNBPA president Nneka Ogwumike statement on the agreement:

- Average revenue share of nearly 20% across deal

Per reports, the WNBA & players have reached agreement on a new CBA that will increase the average player compensation to over $500,000.

Salaries last season carried an average of around $107,000 according to our data.

What does the league pass run for the WNBA?

I want to say they televise a good portion with games on Peacock, Prime, and ESPN. Probably better value to grab whichever of those you don't have.

- Beginning in 2029, players making $500K or less still qualify for team
-provided housing
- Rookie minimum starts at $270K, scales up to $300K for players with 10+ years of service
- Beginning in 2027, a player can only be cored if she has 6 or fewer years of service

The WNBA and WNBPA have signed the term sheet for a new CBA.

The salary cap will start at $7M, with a $1.4M supermax. The new CBA will also open the door for star players on rookie-scale contracts to earn the standard max and supermax salaries, sources confirmed to FOS.

It will be interesting to see how this effect the Euro leagues now with high pay. Top end talent may pass and allow for lower end players to improve in the off season overseas, while making even more money. Love it!

I wondered the same. Also if the US teams can put restrictions on Euro play since they're providing housing to the players. I don't imagine the housing is just during the 3-4 months of the season.
