The on-court festivities for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Weekend tip off on Friday night with the annual 3-point contest and Shooting Stars skills challenge at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago.
The six 3-point contest participants, headlined by rookie Azzi Fudd and Marina Mabrey, who currently leads the league with 3.3 3-pointers per game, will participate in a two-round timed contest with racks placed at five different shooting locations around the arc.
Four of those five racks will include four regular balls worth one point and one special “money ball” worth two points. The fifth rack, which can be placed at the shooter’s preferred location among the five spots, will contain five “money balls” for some extra scoring upside.
The top two scorers from Round 1 advance to the championship round, where the league will crown a winner. Whoever does go home with the crown will be a first-time winner; neither of the two previous participants (Mabrey, Rhyne Howard) has ever taken home the crown.
