Wisconsin will host night games vs. Western Illinois, Minnesota

MADISON – The Wisconsin football team’s home opener and its border battle with Minnesota will be played under the lights.

The Big Ten Conference and its network partners announced on Wednesday, May 27 the start times for three Badgers games this season. The league also offered a window for the kickoff of three other matchups.

Here are the details.

  • The Badgers' home opener against Western Illinois is slated for 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Big Ten Network will handle the broadcast.
  • UW will face Eastern Michigan 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at Camp Randall Stadium. The game will be streamed on Peacock.
  • The Badgers will host Minnesota at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27 at Camp Randall. That matchup will be broadcast by NBC.

The conference also provided windows for the kickoffs of three other games: at Penn State on Sept. 26, home vs. Michigan State on Oct. 3 and at Iowa on Oct. 31. Those games will begin no later than 4 p.m. with more information to come later.

Here is what we know about Wisconsin’s 2026 schedule:

Sept. 6 – Notre Dame at Lambeau Field, 6:30 p.m. (NBC/Peacock)

Sept. 12 – Western Illinois, 6:15 p.m. (BTN)

Sept. 19 – Eastern Michigan, 11:30 a.m. (Peacock)

Sept. 26 – at Penn State, TBD (no later than 4 p.m.)

Oct. 3 – vs. Michigan State, TBD (no later than 4 p.m.)

Oct. 17 – at UCLA, TBD

Oct. 24 – vs. USC, TBD

Oct. 31 – at Iowa, TBD (no later than 4 p.m.)

Nov. 7 – Rutgers, TBD

Nov. 14 – at Maryland, TBD

Nov. 21 – at Purdue, TBD

Nov. 27 – Minnesota, 6:30 p.m. (NBC)
