Wisconsin is reportedly in contact with South Alabama offensive tackle Jordan Davis, according to 247Sports' Bryce Koon.

The Badgers are listed along with North Carolina, Rutgers, UCF, West Virginia, Kansas and Oklahoma State.

Davis entered the portal on Monday after two years at South Alabama. The 6-foot-5, 306-pound tackle appeared in 24 games over those two seasons, starting 22. He started all 13 games at left tackle on a 2024 Jaguars team that finished 7-6, including a bowl win over Western Michigan.

That stint with a mid-tier Sun Belt program followed two years at South Carolina, which Davis originally joined as a three-star recruit in the class of 2021. He did not see any game action during his two years with the Gamecocks.

Wisconsin remains in search of help at left tackle after it lost starter Kevin Heywood to a season-ending ACL injury. The program appeared to be a finalist for South Dakota transfer Joe Cotton, though he recently committed to Cincinnati.

Former South Alabama OT Jordan Davis has heard from the following programs since entering the transfer portal, sources tell @247Sports:

UNC
Rutgers
UCF
West Virginia
Kansas
Wisconsin
Oklahoma State

Davis is in the portal with a rare combination of starting experience and Power Four pedigree. Were he to choose the Badgers, he'd be an easy pick to enter fall camp as the team's starting left tackle. Other top contenders for the role are Leyton Nelson, a former Vanderbilt transfer, and redshirt freshman Emerson Mandell. Left guard Joe Brunner could also kick to the outside.
