The start date and opponent for the Wisconsin Badgers 2026-27 men's basketball season have been revealed.
College hoops analyst Rocco Miller confirmed Greg Gard's squad will kick off the 2026-27 season at the Kohl Center with Denver coming to town.
Tim Bergstraser stands in Gard's way for a tipoff time to be revealed, though the date has been set for Monday, November 2nd.
For reference, Wisconsin MBB kicked off the 2025-26 season at home against Campbell on Monday, November 3. The Badgers handled the Fighting Camels with ease, 96-64.
Starting on a Monday is nothing new for this men's basketball program. They've done so the last four seasons, with 2021-22 being the last time they didn't start on a Monday.
As for the Badgers' first opponent in 2026-27, the Pioneers are fresh off a 15-17 season where they finished fourth place in the Summit.
Denver played a few solid opponents to start the year, but most notable was their November 24 game at No. 2 Arizona, where they fell, 103-73.
