Wisconsin hockey schedule includes homecoming for coach Mike Hastings

MADISON – Hockey returns to the Kohl Center the first weekend of October.

The Wisconsin men’s hockey team opens the 2026-27 season with a nonconference series against Robert Morris.

Wisconsin announced the nonconference portion of its schedule Aug. 10 with four series plus the previously announced Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

Three of the series will be played at home. The exception will be a trip to Minnesota State on Oct. 9-10 that will mark a homecoming for UW coach Mike Hastings. He spent 11 seasons as the Mavericks coach before leaving for Wisconsin.

Here is how the Badgers' schedule unfolds. Nonconference dates are marked by an asterisk. The exact days and times of the Big Ten series will be announced later. The start times for the nonconference series also will be announced later.

Oct. 29-Nov. 1: Notre Dame
