Wisconsin basketball may boast the best pair of wins in college basketball this season, following its 92-90 road triumph over No. 8 Illinois on Tuesday.

The Badgers, who are 2-6 against Quad 1 opponents overall, now have road wins over then-No. 2 Michigan and No. 8-ranked Illinois. In addition to their AP Poll rankings, those two teams sit at No. 1 and No. 6, respectively, in KenPom and No. 1 and No. 5, respectively, in the NCAA NET Rankings. If Wisconsin makes the NCAA Tournament, which it is well-positioned to do, those two triumphs are largely to thank.

Wisconsin sits at 17-7 overall and 9-4 in Big Ten play after Tuesday. Seven regular-season games remain, including Quad 1 chances against No. 10 Michigan State (home) and No. 13 Purdue (road). Given the Badgers' strong form dating back to early January, none should be surprised if they turn one or both of those matchups into wins.

Before the team begins the final stretch of its regular-season slate, here is its updated position in the NCAA NET, following Tuesday's big win over Illinois.
