Wisconsin will begin its Big Ten tournament run against a relatively familiar foe.

Twelfth-seeded Washington defeated 13th-seeded USC, 83-79, in overtime March 11 in the Big Ten tournament in Chicago to advance and face the Badgers in the third round.

It will be Wisconsin’s second time playing against the Huskies in a two-week span, as the Badgers left Seattle with a 90-73 win on Feb. 28 that was not even as close as the final score might suggest.

Washington advanced past USC despite trailing by 13 points with about 13 minutes remaining in the second half. Zoom Diallo led the Huskies with 22 points on 7-of-20 shooting. Washington handed USC its eighth consecutive loss.

Wisconsin received a double-bye in the tournament after earning the No. 5 seed. It marked three consecutive seasons of top-five finishes in the Big Ten regular-season standings. UW advanced all the way to the tournament title game in the last two seasons.

Tipoff is expected to be at approximately 1:30 p.m., although that could fluctuate depending on the length of the Iowa-Ohio State game beforehand. The game will air on Big Ten Network.
