Program history was made in the third-round of the B1G Tournament, as Wisconsin Badgers guard John Blackwell dropped 34 points.
After John Tonje's 32 point effort against Michigan State seemingly would never be topped, Blackwell finished with two more points, which put him in the record books.
Blackwell now owns the program record for most points in a single game in B1G Tournament history. Not only that, but it's tied for the third-most by a player, from any team, in B1G Tournament history.
Without Nolan Winter, Greg Gard knew he needed his dynamic duo to step up. Blackwell and Nick Boyd each had a terrific game, but it's Blackwell who's been receiving all the attention. The junior guard was 14-24 from the field, including 6-12 from three-point range, as he finished with a game high 34 points.
This marks the fourth 30+ point game of the season for the Michigan native. Blackwell scored 31 in the season opener, then dropped 30 on November 28 against TCU and 30 against Marquette on December 6.
