The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2, achieving a clean sweep on catcher Will Smith’s Bobblehead Night.
The Dodgers were rolling heading into Saturday, with the energy and momentum on their side. They were aiming to achieve a season sweep, getting off to a strong start in the National League West.
Things started similarly to Friday, with the Dodgers going down early and eventually working their way back.
Tyler Glasnow had another strong start, allowing just two runs over six innings of work with six strikeouts and a walk.

Additionally, he gave up four hits and just one walk. His stuff looked good, and other than a few mistakes, the righty started his season off great.
After Glasnow, the bullpen continued to dominate, allowing no runs and just one hit, which came via a ball that hit Will Klien’s glove and fell for an infield hit.
Alex Vesia, Edwin Diaz, and Will Klein were the three arms that ended up coming into the game, and all three were rock solid once again.
Offensively, things were different. The Dodgers got six hits and drew three walks, but they were unable to score any runs.
Freddie Freeman was the star of the night, other than Smith, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. He opened the scoring with a clutch hit, allowing Smith to come in the bottom of the eighth inning and deliver the game-winning home run.
Smith was 0-for-3 before his homer, but when the team needed him most, he stepped up and did what he does best — hit the baseball.
Will Smith’s Bobblehead
Before the game, Cara Smith, Will’s wife, and his two daughters, Charlotte and Layton, threw out the first pitch in honor of his bobblehead night.
The giveaway was capturing his Game 7 World Series home run, which propelled the Dodgers to back-to-back titles.
It is the first of many bobbleheads that are celebrating arguably the best baseball game of all time, which saw the Dodgers add to their championship total.
Fittingly, it was Smith who helped the Dodgers win another game, adding to his case for being one of the best hitters in baseball.
