Even though Odell Beckham is washed up — or so it sure seems — don’t rule out him rejoining the Giants.

That was one of the big takeaways Monday from Giants coach (and de facto general manager) John Harbaugh’s chat with reporters at the NFL’s Annual Meeting in Phoenix.

Beckham, a once-great wide receiver, has made no secret about wanting to play for the Giants again.

So what does Harbaugh — who has final say on personnel — think about that?

“The obvious pat answer would be: You look at every option,” Harbaugh said. “And if Odell is an option, then we’ll be looking at him for sure. He and I do talk, and we do text. We maintain a really great relationship. He’s one of my very favorite people in the world. It’s not like you don’t talk to guys about things like that. And certainly, we have.”

A fairly diplomatic response, especially given Harbaugh’s relationship with Beckham. It’s not like Harbaugh was going to say Beckham can’t play anymore, even though that quite clearly is the case.

“We’ll just have to see where it all goes — what’s best for him, what’s best for the Giants," Harbaugh said of a potential Beckham reunion. “That’s the No. 1 thing — what’s best for our team."

The Giants do need more weapons for Jaxson Dart, since they lost slot receiver Wan’Dale Robinson to the Titans in free agency, and also since Darius Slayton is not a long-term answer opposite Malik Nabers.

But Beckham, 33, is no longer a difference maker. He hasn’t had a highly productive season since 2019 with the Browns (1,035 yards and four touchdowns).

With Harbaugh in Baltimore in 2023, Beckham had 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns. Beckham was out of the league last year, partly because of a six-game suspension (performance-enhancing drugs).

Of course, he opened his career as a star with the Giants from 2014-18, as the No. 12 overall draft pick.

His Giants numbers remain impressive — 390 catches, 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns. But was a long time ago. Harbaugh surely knows that.
