The New England Patriots found their left tackle on Thursday night when they selected Will Campbell with the fourth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Campbell was all smiles when his name was called. And when asked what was behind his ear-to-ear grin after being drafted, the LSU product was moved to tears.

“Just all the hard work,” Campbell said before needing to compose himself for several seconds. “I worked my entire life to be up here. To be able to get my name called by a franchise like New England, it means everything to me.”

Campbell fills a hole the Patriots desperately needed to address this offseason. A three-year starter at LSU and consensus All-American in 2024, the left tackle allowed just five sacks across 2,553 snaps in 38 collegiate starts.

The 21-year-old knows he’ll be tasked with protecting quarterback Drake Maye, and he’s ready to bring the same kind of energy from Louisiana to Foxboro.

“I’m gonna fight and die to protect them with everything I’ve got,” he said.
