The NFL world is still waiting on Aaron Rodgers to make a decision about whether he will play the 2025 season.

It doesn't appear that the free-agent quarterback will do so soon.

Rodgers was asked about his future during a Thursday appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show."

"I’m open to anything and attached to nothing," he revealed. "Retirement could still be a possibility."

Rodgers acknowledged he was focusing on his personal life while contemplating his decision.

"I'm in a different phase of my life," Rodgers explained. "I'm 41 years old, I'm in a serious relationship, I have personal commitments I've made… and people in my inner circle battling difficult stuff."

Those issues left Rodgers not wanting to sign with a team, which he classified as a big commitment. He also was adamant he wasn't "holding teams hostage," and he claimed he had been "up front" with his suitors about his timetable – or lack thereof – to make a decision.

Rodgers also clarified that he wouldn't ask for a big-money contract if he decides to play the 2025 season.

"I’ll play for $10 [million]," Rodgers said. "I don’t care."

Even so, it doesn't appear Rodgers will render his verdict before the 2025 NFL draft. That could lead some of his suitors to use early draft capital on quarterbacks in case the 41-year-old calls it a career after 20 seasons.
