As far as vikesfan is concerned, I didn't do it but he was taking on NEM characterics and must have really pissed off the Politics board mods. So I agree with it.

People griped that Plummer at 7 mil a yr robbed the team of resources that could have been used to upgrade the team. Plummer gave the team more production than Smith does. Where is the outrage over Smith's salary?

Many, many people have complained about Smith's salary. Where have you been?

If you think about it, this is the best way to break camp. Everyone is put in a situation where they can't relax for the next month. The starting line-up knows that they need to keep working hard to keep their spot. Everyone else knows that they need to step up in order to compete. Those who take the next month off will probably be in the first round of cuts.

Shipp will see plenty of time no matter if he is a backup or starter. Smith might still have some gas, but he'll need to rest more- it's the major drawback of getting older. Also, assuming that we actually play with the lead this year, there's no way that Green will keep running Emmitt for 2 quarters just to kill the clock. He'll run Shipp.

I completely agree...Marcel shouldn't get down, at all. He will "WIN" the starting job in camp...No doubt about it. Then he can truly say he wasn't given his position or annointed as the starter!

How are the Vikings even going to run the ball now that Bennet is done, O.Smith is worthless, and Moe Williams is not fast ?

And how will they over come the sheer stupidity of Tice as there coach?

Also, doesn't Emmitt cost us less than he makes because we get some veterans "discount" where his cap value is less?
