Fireworks erupted at following the end of the third quarter of South Carolina and UConn's Final Four tilt.
After completing a frame in which the Huskies were whistled for six fouls compared to the Gamecocks' zero, UConn head coach Geno Auriemma let loose, firing off a minute-long tirade that will live on in Final Four lore.

Geno Auriemma mid-game interview
Auriemma was left bemused following the end of the third quarter. He expressed as much while speaking with ESPN's Holly Rowe, delivering a scathing rebuke of the referees.
"There were six fouls called in that quarter, all of them against us," Auriemma said. "And they've been beating the s— out of our guys down there the entire game. And I'm not making excuses because we haven't been able to make a shot. But this is ridiculous."
Auriemma turned his attention to South Carolina coach Dawn Staley, saving his sharpest words for his longtime adversary. He claimed that Staley goes unpunished despite firing less-than-savory barbs towards the refereeing crew.
"Their coach rants and raves on the sidelines and calls the referees some names you don't want to hear," Auriemma said. "Come on man, this is for the national championship."
Why did Sarah Strong change jerseys?
Auriemma wasn't the only Husky left frustrated with refereeing decision. National Player of the Year Sarah Strong displayed similar emotions, ripping her jersey in half after attempting to finish through contact at the end of the frame.
Strong, typically outfitted in her signature No. 21 ,was forced to wear a generic No. 55 shirt in the fourth quarter.
