F1 Monaco was red-flagged with 10 laps remaining in the flagship race, leaving fans wondering what happened as every car had to return to pit lane.
Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli was leading at the time of the break, which occurred just after separate crashes by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll in the same spot on the course.
Both cars appeared to pick up pieces of asphalt from that part of the track, on turn 19, reportedly necessitating remedial work to fix the track before the race could restart. Things eventually got back underway, thankfully without any serious injuries.
