Alex Palou held off Team Penske's Josef Newgarden and David Malukas to win the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix IndyCar Series race on July 20 at Nashville Superspeedway.
Palou claimed the lead after coming down pit road just before a mid-pit cycle caution flag with 100 laps to go. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver controlled the front for the remainder of the race, holding off Newgarden's challenge for the final 35 laps.
Twice was a green-flag pit cycle interrupted by a caution. David Malukas had to take a wave-around after that Lap 124 caution following a stop, while Scott McLaughlin and Kyle Kirkwood had to do the same and lost track position following a caution with 45 laps to go.
