Another high school baseball season has come and gone in the Greater Taunton area.
This spring, Taunton (16-7, 15-1 Hockomock League) led the way locally, capturing a third straight Hockomock Kelley-Rex crown before ultimately falling to Westford Academy in the MIAA Division 1 Round of 32. Bridgewater-Raynham (12-9, 4-0 Pioneer Athletic Conference) also was crowned league champion, going undefeated in PAC-3 play before bowing out to North Quincy in the D1 preliminary round while Dighton-Rehoboth (10-10, 7-7 South Coast Conference) had some solid showings and reached the D3 Round of 32 before falling to Newburyport. Bristol Aggie (7-11, 1-9 Mayflower Athletic Conference) ended the season on a high note, winning three of its final four games, while Bristol-Plymouth (6-14, 4-4 MAC) recorded a season sweep of Southeastern.
Now, with the season in the rearview, cast your vote for the 2026 Taunton Daily Gazette Fans' Choice Baseball Player of the Year, with polls open through noon on Tuesday, July. 28. This poll also will play into deciding the 2026 Taunton Daily Gazette Baseball Player of the Year, with the fan vote accounting for 25% of the Gazette's final vote.
