The World Cup quarterfinals continue on Saturday, July 11 with a massive clash between England and Norway in Miami Gardens, Florida
French referee Clément Turpin will take charge of the match, with support from fellow Frenchmen Nicolas Danos and Benjamin Pages.
This will be the fourth game of this World Cup for Turpin, who has already officiated England in its 4-2 win over Croatia to open the tournament.
The 44-year-old is in his third World Cup, having officiated in 2018 and 2022. He also took charge of the 2022 UEFA Champions League Final between Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Turpin has a history with England head coach Thomas Tuchel, who was furious with the Frenchman's performance in Bayern Munich's Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Manchester City in 2023.
Tuchel, then the Bayern head coach, said of Turpin: "The referee, unfortunately, was Grade E. I'd give him a one out of 10. He was absolutely terrible. It's unbelievable at this level."
