In what could be the San Antonio Spurs' final game of the season, the team is going with a familiar voice for the national anthem. Country singer Mickey Guyton, an Arlington, Texas native, has been tasked with singing The Star-Spangled Banner for Game 5.

With the Spurs down 3-1 to the New York Knicks, San Antonio would need to win the next two to get a Game 7 back at the Frost Bank Center. The Knicks playing like a team of destiny slims those odds, however.

Guyton, 42, is a four-time Grammy nominee who's primarily known for her 2022 album Remember Her Name. She also made history as the first Black woman to host the Academy of Country Music Awards, as she led the broadcast with fellow country star Keith Urban in 2021.
