Chances are if you're on TikTok or are a volleyball fan, you might have seen videos of a Cal State Northridge redshirt junior outside hitter Jordan Lucas.

The 6-foot-3 transfer from Grand Canyon has gone viral for his celebrations after points -- he spikes, he bops his head and he waves and struts. It's incredible to watch and it's no wonder that he's a TikTok sensation.

But it's also elicited some reactions on the internet, which happens in 2026. That's included one commentator who was extremely critical of Lucas. We'll get into all that as we break down who Lucas is.

What did a commentator say about Jordan Lucas that was controversial?​


CSUN was playing UC-Irvine in a match. UC-Irvine commentator Charlie Brande delivered this remark after one Lucas celebrations: "I'm amazed Jordan Lucas hasn't been popped by somebody. The antics he's making under the net, it's very distasteful."
