Most of the free agents for the Green Bay Packers have either re-signed with the team or found new contracts with other teams. All but one of the team's unrestricted free agents are now signed. And the Packers said goodbye to 11 total veteran players who signed deals with new teams.
Who remains unsigned? Only five players -- one unrestricted free agent, on restricted free agent, one exclusive rights free agent and two street free agents (players who were released).
The Packers' five unsigned free agents:
TE John FitzPatrick: The 26-year-old tight end won a job as the No. 3 tight end to start the 2025 season in Green Bay, but he tore his Achilles tendon on Dec. 20 and will be in the recovery phase from surgery for several more months. It's possible he could return to the Packers at some point once healthy, but the team did bring back Josh Whyle on a one-year deal, and drafting a tight end is a real possibility.
DE Arron Mosby: The linebacker-turned-defensive end appeared in 28 games for the Packers over the last two seasons, playing over 200 snaps on special teams in 2024 and 2025. He was a core special teams player for Rich Bisaccia, but it's possible the Packers are looking to move in a different direction under Cam Achord, or Mosby would like a better opportunity elsewhere. But as a 26-year-old with positional versatility and real special teams value, Mosby's return to Green Bay can't be ruled out.
OL Lecitus Smith: He was the only exclusive rights free agent to not receive a tender, suggesting the Packers do not want him back on the 90-man offseason roster. Smith has gone back and forth between the Packers roster and other teams over the last two seasons, but it's possible this relationship is at its end. He could be an emergency option for the Packers should injuries hit the offensive line at some point in 2026.
CB Trevon Diggs: The former Cowboy played in the regular season finale and just one defensive snap in the postseason loss in Chicago. He was released to start the offseason -- an expected move given his cap number. Could the Packers be interested in a return at the right number? The longest Diggs is available, the lower his price -- and the better the chance he could be an option. But signing Benjamin St-Juste provided veteran depth, and the Packers are all but guaranteed to add competitive at corner via the draft. Diggs could be a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency option at corner post-draft.
QB Clayton Tune: The former Cardinal was released after a nightmare Week 18 start in Minnesota. The Packers have veteran Desmond Ridder, and Kyle McCord (2025 draft pick of the Eagles) was signed to the offseason roster. Tune spent the 2025 season as the third quarterback on the practice squad but is highly unlikely to return to Green Bay.
