The New Orleans Saints will be faced with some difficult decisions later this summer, as they'll be forced to trim their 90-man roster down before the start of the NFL regular season. While many of us have a good idea of what most of the roster will look like by then, there are still plenty of question marks at several positions, making training camp and the preseason all the more important.
For now, though, using spring projections from several New Orleans media outlets -- our own John Sigler, LouisianaSports.Net's Ross Jackson, and the four-man crew at NewOrleans.Football -- we've put together a list of the players who appear to be locks for the Saints' 2026 roster heading into the season. Barring an injury or something completely unexpected, these 38 players should have little trouble securing a spot on the team's initial 53-man roster.
As for who is on the roster bubble? Players who appeared in all but one of these 53-man roster projections include offensive tackle Asim Richards, defensive tackles Davon Godchaux and Nathan Shepherd, linebacker Jaylan Ford, edge rusher Anfernee Jennings, running back Devin Neal, and safety Terrell Burgess. They're good picks to make the cut but they aren't unanimous roster locks just yet.
