True.....if you're 6'7" you'd better be fast if you play OLB. Who was the Oakland OLB Ted something....The Mad Stork at 6'7"-235?
Ted Hendricks, a.k.a. one of the greatest Hurricanes of all-time.

In the press conference they talked about him learning from Dockett and Smith....So I guess they see him as a DE in the 3-4

so we're looking at a line rotation of Gabe, Branch, Smith, Dockett, Campbell and some others as a base 3-4? I just wonder if we have the linebackers to pull it off. Not trying to say Dansby, Chike, Travis, and Haggans can't be a solid starting group, the depth worries me though.

Don't forget about Gerald Hayes.

ah, yeah I knew I was missing someone.....so we start Travis and Chike on the outside with Dansby and Hayes inside? Or do we put Chike down on the line and slide Dansby outside and plug Haggans in?

From everything I have read, the cards are super-high on Chike at the OLB spot, so I expect him to start and flourish there. I think Laboy will start on the other side, with Berry and Haggans providing depth on the outside and Beisal backing up the guys in the middle.

Beisel and newly acquired Matt Stewart backing up the middle. I dont have a single problem with our LB depth and IMo think it is really, really good. We have a decent backup for each starter.

Laboy and Berry
Dansby and Stewart
Hayes and Beisel
Okeafer and Haggans

We are rock solid at the LB core.

As for where Campbell will play he will rotate in and out with Dockett and smith while in the 3-4(I think he gives Smith a run for his money to start by the way). If he doesnt beat out Smith for the starting job I think he see's most of his time as a nickel DL on the inside. 6-8 with a huge wingspan will be about as hard as you can get for QB's to see the middle of the field or find a seem to throw it in in the middle of the field.

it would have been more impressive if we could have added Groves at OLB. If this kid has no issues with a heart problem that he had a few weeks back, he will be a monster at OLB!!!
