There are essentially three prospects Chicago could select with the first pick, and it's anyone's guess who the White Sox will choose.
Fort Worth (Texas) Christian High School shortstop Grady Emerson is one option, presenting an incredibly high-ceiling left-handed bat with true five-tool potential. UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky, a polished college star who is widely praised, is another. Another elite name anchoring the top tier includes Georgia Tech catcher Vahn Lackey, who batted .397/.519/.772 as a junior for the Yellow Jackets.
