The first of the year's three grand tours in women's cycling is here, with La Vuelta Femenina serving up seven stages of racing in Spain.

While this year's route is the most challenging yet, the peloton can take some relief in Demi Vollering's decision to skip this year's edition. Vollering took the red jersey the last two years and dominated the spring classics, winning Liege-Bastogne-Liege, La Fleche Wallonne, the Tour of Flanders and Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.

The Dutch have dominated La Vuelta Femenina, with Vollering or countrywoman Annemiek van Vleuten winning every edition since 2021, and veteran Anna van der Breggen could be the best bet to continue that streak this year after finishing third in 2025. Among other possible contenders are 2025 Tour de France Femmes winner Pauline Ferrand-Prevot and Vollering's teammate Juliette Berthet, who finished fifth a year ago.

It should be a wide-open race across seven days in northern Spain. Here's all you need to know to tune in each day.
